Academy Theatre<\/strong><\/p>\n Built in 1892, the Academy Theatre was once known as the most technically perfect theatre in Canada. The early 1900’s saw the Academy host vaudeville acts like The Marx Brothers until 1918 when silent movies began to play. 1923 saw the introduction of talking films with the original projectors on display at the Highlands Cinemas in Kinmount.
