Lindsay Montessori Preschool

This is also the motto of Lindsay Montessori School, with the belief that every child is a strong, unique individual, capable of learning through their curiosity and experience. In a loving, calm, and safe atmosphere, children are encouraged to explore and discover, in order to facilitate their growth on an individual basis. As early childhood educators, the school offers a stimulating environment that provides children with an opportunity to express their creativity, curiosity, and adventurous nature.

St. John Paul II Elementary School

Catholic education is part of the mission of the Church, and all Catholics are co-responsible for that mission by the grace of their baptismal covenant with God and the believing community. Through this mission, St. John Paul II continues to teach healing, and guide its students through their life in faith. Parents, who are the primary educators of children, are encouraged to partner with the parish and school to accomplish tasks within the mission of Catholic education. Creating a dynamic community where young people learn the rich heritage, religious culture, tradition, ministry, teachings, and faith.

Parkview Public School

With monthly themes for their students to focus on like, honesty, charity and respect, Parkview teaches it’s students the importance of education and instills the values of community and togetherness. With a robust selection of online resources to continue the learning at home, Parkview puts its students on a trajectory to success.

Lindsay Collegiate and Vocational Institute

Knowledge can only be taught, but it’s about how you use what you learn that defines people. LCVI offers a host of after school and extracurricular programs within a vibrant and accepting community of young minds. Maintaining active communications between parents and the school through phone calls, emails, letters, and progress reports. Parents are encouraged to contact the school at any time. LCVI’s Parent Council meets regularly in the school library to review and share information about initiatives, and advises on school policy. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend Parents Nights, held following the distribution of the first progress report, resulting in stronger communication and student success.

St. Thomas Aquinas S.S.

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School is a centre of community, faith and learning in Lindsay. An inclusive academic community, rooted in the teachings of the Catholic faith, with a mission to develop the spiritual, academic, and social potential of students as builders of a just society. Parents are encouraged to talk to teachers, engage in school activities or volunteer at events. There is also a school Chaplain on staff, helping to provide additional support for students. Weekly, activities and events bring students, parents and teachers together, in an inclusive, safe & accessible environment for all.

Fleming College

You’ll love how close Fleming College is to our Ravines of Lindsay community. Fleming College has been named one of Canada’s Top 50 Research Colleges, ranked 11th in Ontario and 29th nationally. In fact, the Office of Applied Research saw a 58% increase in its research income which is good news, as colleges rank according to the amount of funding their research facilities attract. With campuses across Ontario, in cities like Cobourg, Haliburton, and Peterborough, continual improvement of access to college property, facilities and services, Fleming also offers a range of support services for students with disabilities.
